Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach me at hello@bemindfulspace.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

It is important to be prepared at least 10 minutes before a Yoga Nidra class starts. Please, make sure:

  • All your electronic devices are switched off and you are not disturbed till the end of your session
  • Prepare a blanket in case of body feels cold at the deepest level of relaxation
  • If it is necessary, you can make some additional adjustments to any part of your body in advance
  • No aroma candles, no music

The structure of Yoga Nidra practice consists of three successive stages:

  • Relaxation of body
  • Relaxation of breath
  • Relaxation of mind

All you have to do is listen and follow the instructions effortlessly. Stay relaxed and observe from distance if any memories or flashbacks are coming out. What is coming up from your memory archive is coming to go..

Sleeping through the session and not remembering anything, that's also a good outcome. It means your body and mind are overwhelmed. As soon as all tension and stress are released, you become able to practice Yoga Nidra without falling asleep.

Yes, even your body and mind are in a state of deep relaxation during Yoga Nidra practice but you stay aware all the time.

If some sensitive or disturbing memories are coming and you cannot handle it, you can squeeze your hands, breath deeply, turn your body to the right side, open your eyes.

When tension is gone, you can close your eyes, back your body to a normal position, continue Yoga Nidra session or stop it at any time.

Yoga Nidra is a transformative experience for your body and mind. You should try to avoid using electronic devices, driving a car, coming back to your daily routine right after the session.

Please make sure to have 10-15 mins rest after a session.

For some time after, you may feel irritation, angriness, fear or some other emotions. Please mark these feelings and make notes to see a progress. The more you practice Yoga Nidra, the less disturbing emotions are coming after your practice.

Yoga Nidra can be practiced at any time of your day. You can practice it as often, as you feel comfortable with.
