What is Intention in Yoga Nidra?

Definition

Intention, or “Sankalpa” in Sanskrit, is one of the key elements in Yoga Nidra practice. It represents a short positive setting.

Based on a problem solution at Yoga Nidra session, an Intention (Sankalpa) can be represented as:“I am released from stress and worries”, “I accept everything as it is”, “I am free from addiction (smoking, coffee, overeating)” etc..

Implementation

Practitioners repeat Intention (Sankalpa) consciously in the beginning and in the end of Yoga Nidra session. It helps to fix and strengthen a chosen positive setting.

According to a personal problem solution request, Intention (Sankalpa) can be defined individually upon request

Experiencing

Yoga Nidra practitioners experience a positive change in their mind, life attitude, and ability to solve their problems. This all creates an ideal environment for the self to heal and for personal life transformation to take place.
